More from
every harbor.
Software solutions for marinas.
01 / Our ambition
We want to help your harbor perform better.
Running a harbor means balancing the needs of boaters, the team’s workload, and the space available. We want to build software that helps you make better use of those resources and improve the results of your business.
We believe better software and clearer information can help with everyday decisions. Our ambition is to help marinas welcome more boaters, use their resources well, and give staff more time for work that needs their experience.
We start by understanding how your harbor works and where you see room to improve. Together, we can identify where better tools could make a difference, whether that means bringing in more revenue or reducing the work needed to deliver good service.
02 / How we work
Understand the operation.
Then build.
A marina brings together people, physical space, and a schedule that can change with the weather. A useful tool has to account for how those parts affect one another.
Understand the work
We start by listening to the people doing the work. Their experience helps us understand the constraints and decide where to focus.
Compare the options
Our backgrounds in operations management, logistics, and data science help us weigh the alternatives and make the reasoning clear.
Build for a useful result
We care about what an improvement means for revenue, effort, and service, and whether it works in the hands of the marina's team.
03 / About us
We're Lorenzo and Daan.
Our own time around boats brought us to marina operations. We founded Farolo because we want to apply what we know to a field we care about, and build a business with the ambition to move it forward.
We're curious about the difficult details and serious about the commercial outcome. We'd like to meet people who know this work well, challenge our ideas, and help us understand where better tools would make the biggest difference.
